The Bradshaw Family

The Bradshaw family have been proud supporters of the VPA for over 15 years, regularly contributing $500 toward the D grade prize money at the Victorian Championships and the Bradshaw Family Shield to the overall D grade Victorian Champion.

The family is represented each year by Bob Bradshaw, who donates the money in honour of his grandson, Bayne, who won the Championships in 2010 and was a piper with the City of Melbourne Pipe band and the Ballarat Pipe Band.

Bob began learning the pipes in Greenock and was inspired by his Grandfather who played in the Highland Light Infantry.

The D grade and Novice Piper of the Year Prize Money

In addition to the Victorian Championships prize money, the Bradshaw Family has kindly donated an additional $1000. This is to be awarded to the Novice and D grade Piper of the Year for 2025 and 2026.

Each year $200 and $300 will be awarded to the Novice and D grade winners respectively.

This prize money is to encourage Novice and D grade pipers to put in as much effort into their art and push their improvement, fostering growth in grass roots piping in Victoria.

We once again thank the Bradshaw family for their generosity and are humbled by their commitment to growing piping in Victoria.
