In 2019, the VPA renamed our Piobaireachd Medals the Australian Piobaireachd Medals.
It was recognised that Australia did not have  national Piobaireachd medals and this was important to the advancement of Piobaireachd in Australia.
Since its inception, the standard of piobaireachd during our contest season and at the Victorian Championships has steadily risen and grown in popularity.
For the 2025 season, we are adopting the Piobaireachd Society’s Set lists for the Gold and Silver (A and B grade) events throughout our season. This will encourage competitors to learn new tunes, align their repertoires with both Scotland and New Zealand, and further raise the standard of Piobaireachd and piping in general.
Our Medal events at the Victorian Championshops are now being generously supported by the Piobaireachd Society and we thank them for helping to grow our piping scene and helping to encourage piobaireachd worldwide.
